Patient Relationship & Dental Practice PolicyAs a practice committed to quality treatment, we will show our patients respect, consideration and professionalism at all times. We would like you, the patient, to do the same to the practice staff. On your first visit a consultation and check-up are carried out and a detailed assessment made. Following this initial assessment/consultation we will be able to provide you with a personalised treatment plan and estimate of cost. For more complex cases it is common to need further tests, x-rays, consultation, before a treatment plan and cost can be formulated. Once a decision to proceed with treatment has been taken financial arrangements can then be made to suit. For simple cases payment is made on the day of treatment and for more complex situations the arrangement will be made clear or arranged personally with you prior to commencement of treatment. We do try to make financial matters as easy as we possibly can. However, usually you should remember that: - Check-up and x-ray fees are paid on the first visit. - Generally fees are due on the day of treatment. - Where treatment involving a laboratory is carried out fees are payable on the day of impressions. We would request that patients keep their appointments or give adequate notice of cancellation. We do charge for late cancellations and failed appointments. This is normally charged at £30.00 for each 30 minutes failed. We work with all major insurance schemes. The practice is BUPA dental cover accredited and welcomes BUPA patients. BUPA Dental cover is normally a benefit obtained through your place of work. There are however, alternative insurance schemes and for those patients who wish to consider this method of dental care the practice recommends Boots Dental Insurance. For information on this insurance you can call Boots on 0845 840 1111 or enquire at the practice. |
